Ever partied at La Folie Douce? In the mountains, sure, but in Paris? For its annual Christmas party, PwC handed the reins to Wild Buzz Agency, which turned a large Paris venue into La Folie Douce for one night. The agency handled everything from event design and production to programming and logistics.
Recreating the atmosphere of a mountain resort in a Paris venue takes a complete transformation. Set design and lighting have to give the space a new identity and make the most of the existing architecture. The live programme needs to sustain the energy all evening, with a common thread tying the entertainment together.
A year-end corporate party comes with its own logistical challenges. Guests arrive straight from the office in a short window, so the cloakroom, reception and first service points must be ready for an immediate surge. Catering has to keep pace without interrupting the evening, and everything has to work on the night, with no chance for a dress rehearsal.
